Visited June 2016 for afternoon tea. By far the nicest one we have had! Delicious homemade cakes, fresh sandwiches and lots of tea! What a gem we have found here! Well done to staff who were lovely also! Yummy homemade bread and fudge as well. Def worth a visit but don&#39;t tell too many people :-)

Very good restaurant, very good cooking, great

Was back again at Howick Hall Garden at the weekend and the marvellous Earl Grey Tea House. Arrived in time for a late lunch with one of my favourites on the menu - Northumberland Rarebit - yummy. After doing a round of the garden, we were back in time for tea and cakes - always a great selection making it so difficult to choose. It&#39;s so comfortable, elegant and charming, you almost expect the old Earl himself to stroll in for tea.

Very good restaurant, L Robson And Sons style is more biased towards English style, the decoration is very good, spacious and comfortable, the steak is very fresh, the overall is very good and very satisfied, the salad must be ordered, very fresh

We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Black Swan. We shared calamari and halloumi starters, along with a delicious soup which came with two huge pieces of crusty bread. It was 2-4-1 on pizzas and they were absolutely delicious with a range of original toppings. My son had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely packed with steak. My daughter went for the Cajun chicken burger and really enjoyed it. We were too full to manage a dessert but the children both went for cheesecake - it was Biscoff and they loved it! We will definitely be back next time we&rsquo;re in Alnwick.
